Dr. George F. Corrent is a board-certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in corneal diseases, cataract surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmology. He earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Duke University, a doctorate in neurophysiology from Rice University, and a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Washington University and a fellowship in corneal and external diseases at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Before joining Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Corrent served as Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at Cleveland Clinic Florida from 1988 to 2005 and practiced at various locations of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Palm Beach, and Naples from 2009 to 2015 and again from 2024 to this day.
