Jason Goldsmith, M.D.

Dr. Jason Goldsmith, MD, MS is an American Board of Ophthalmology–certified cataract and glaucoma surgeon with extensive experience in both the United States and the Middle East. He is widely recognized for his clinical expertise, academic contributions, and multiple awards from leading ophthalmic institutions.

Dr. Goldsmith completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of California, followed by his medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine. He then pursued residency training in ophthalmology at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, and a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Utah.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Goldsmith served as an Associate Professor at the Moran Eye Center, University of Utah, and as Chief of Ophthalmology at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Salt Lake City. In these roles he cared for U.S. military veterans and was actively involved in resident education and surgical training.

For the next ten years, Dr. Goldsmith was a Consultant Surgeon at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, where he gained deep experience with the region’s disease patterns and healthcare systems.

Dr. Goldsmith’s career, spanning major academic centers in the U.S. and a decade of work in the UAE, uniquely positions him to help deliver world-class eye care in partnership with the Bascom Palmer team from Miami, Florida, at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute Abu Dhabi.
